6/29/16

Prince has settled in great at his foster home.  He gets along well with both of his foster siblings, a male boxer and a female boxer mix.  He also loves snuggling with people.  Included are a few new pictures of this petite and handsome boy.

5/03/16

Prince is doing wonderful and has adjusted well in foster.  For the past few weeks, he has been sharing his foster home with a litter of five boxer mix puppies.  Prince is very tolerant and gentle with them.  Everybody that comes to the home adores him.  Prince does not do well in a crate, but is fine with free run when left alone.  This sweet boy is ready to find a forever home.  He would do best in a home with a confident female boxer and a fenced yard.

4/12/16

Prince has arrived at his new foster home and is settling in well.  He was very nervous at first and was confused with all the changes that were happening in his life.  His foster mom reports that he is very sweet and is truly a little prince!

4/03/16

Prince was returned to rescue today because his family felt he would do best in a home with older children.  Prince just arrived at his new foster home this evening and introductions went well with the female boxer.  He seems to really enjoy playing with other dogs.  We will update his page once his foster mom learns more about him.  If you are interested in providing a forever home for this petite boy, apply today for Prince!

Prince has been in his foster home for two weeks now.  He is a very sweet, young boy who craves attention from his people.  Prince loves to snuggle up with us while we are watching TV and enjoys sleeping in the human bed at night.  Prince does not need to be crated during the day.  He did not know much about toys at first, but has come to really enjoy them.  Prince is fully housebroken.  He gets along well with his two foster siblings, a male and female dog.  Prince is quite the gem and is ready for his forever family!

12/15/15 -

Prince was surrendered to the shelter and will be joining AABR soon.  He is used to a fenced yard and is reported to be housebroken.  Prince's temperament was described as very loving and friendly.  He previously lived with a four year old child.  The volunteers at the shelter indicate that Prince loves to give hugs and he wiggles everywhere.  He did great on his dog test.  We will update Prince's page this weekend with better pictures and more information!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
