Angel and Princess are still looking for a forever home.  They are currently living with five children, ages 2 and up.  Angel and Princess have been trained on an invisible fence.  They are housebroken, love going for car rides, and do well in their crates during busy family times.  They are very bonded and two dogs are much better than one!  These are the sweetest girls - apply today to adopt this wonderful pair!

Angel and Princess are being returned to rescue because their adopter does not have the time to care for two young dogs.  They are around 2 years of age and good with other dogs.  Angel and Princess lived with young children and did great with them.  Angel is reported to be house trained and crate trained.  She is full of boxer energy, wiggles, and affection.  Angel's skin has been treated and looks great now!  Angel and Princess are very bonded with each other and we are hoping to keep this pair together.  If you are interested in adopting Angel and Princess, apply today!

Angel and Princess have arrived in PA and are settling in well together at their foster home.  In over-crowded shelters like the one Angel was in, a dog with a skin condition would be the first to be put down when space gets tight.  Fortunately, Angel made it out and is safe with AABR.  She tested positive for Demodex mange and has already started treatment.

4/30/15 -

Angel and Princess were found together as strays on a five lane highway in Tennessee.  AABR was asked to help both girls and they will be transported to their foster home in Pennsylvania this weekend.  Angel and Princess are estimated to be around 1-2 yrs old.  They were tested with another dog at the shelter and did great!  Angel is looking for a home with a resident male dog.  She is very shy at first and will need some TLC.  Angel is missing some hair and will have her skin checked once she arrives in rescue. We will post more information about Angel once her foster family gets to know her.  If you are interested in adopting Angel, apply today!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
