Shiloh is so happy to be back in her foster home!  She is much less timid and is happy to meet new people when they visit.  Shiloh is coming out of her shell and is much more playful.  She loves her squeaky toys.  Shiloh is ready to find a forever family of her own.  Apply today for this sweet girl!

Shiloh has arrived back at her original foster home and she is very happy to be out of the kennel and back in a home environment.  We will post a new update as soon as she gets settled in!

11/08/14

Shiloh lost her foster home because her previous foster mom is going through a surgery and recovery and could not care for her.  Shiloh is currently at our boarding kennel and would love to find a new foster home, or even better - a forever home to call her own!  She is a timid girl and does fine with free run of the house during the day.  Shiloh can be possessive of toys with other dogs, so would need carefully monitored around other dogs or placed in a home as an only dog.  If you can provide a home for Shiloh, apply today!

Shiloh is doing great in her foster home.  She is the best houseguest!  Shiloh is very nervous and timid in new situations, but once she knows she can trust you - Shiloh is your best friend!  She walks great on leash, rides well in the car, and knows many commands.  Shiloh is fully housetrained and has run of the home when left alone.  She usually just goes up and lays in bed. Shiloh is very sweet and once she warms up to you, is a little snuggle bug.  Shiloh enjoys playing with her toys.  She has been much more playful now that she is used to her surroundings.  Shiloh would do best in a quiet home.  She is simply a joy to have around!

10/12/14 -

Shiloh was surrendered to the shelter because she was not doing well with the small breed dog in her home.  She also lived with a cat and a Rottie.  Shiloh was kenneled with a male lab at the shelter without any problems until he was adopted.  Her previous owners indicate that Shiloh was tolerant of everyone, including small children.  Shiloh was also trained to ring a bell when she needed to go out.  She is spayed, knows basic commands, and enjoys being groomed.  Shiloh just arrived at her new foster home.  We will update her page as soon as her foster mom gets to know Shiloh better.  Apply today for this beautiful girl!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
