Autumn is doing wonderful in her foster home!  She has really benefited from having a young male boxer to play with.  They love running the boxer race track both inside and outside of the house.  They also enjoy playing tug, wrestling, and boxing with each other.  She also has a lot of kisses for her humans!  Autumn goes into her crate willingly and has adjusted well.  If you have an active young male dog and are interested in adopting Autumn, apply today!

6/23/15

Autumn has moved to a new foster home where she will be living with a young, active boxer brother and where she will have somebody home with her more often during the day.  Autumn seems to be taking everything in stride and is adjusting well with both of her new boxer brothers. We will post another update once her new foster family gets to know Autumn better.

6/14/15

Autumn stayed with one of our volunteers last week because her foster dad had to go out of town for work.  Below is an update from her visit:

"We have had a wonderful week with Autumn - she is such a silly girl!  Autumn is a little too big to play with my 14 lb Boston Terrier.  She would do best with a dog her size.  Autumn does need a harness and some work on her leash manners.  She has had no accidents and goes in her crate when asked.  Autumn adores men and loved playing with the neighborhood boys.  It was fun to see her silly, wiggly, Boxer energy.  She thinks she is a lap dog and desperately needs a dog playmate.  Autumn slept soundly on her bed in our bedroom.  This young girl has been a joy to be around!"

Autumn is still looking for a forever home.  Apply today if you have an active male boxer and a fenced yard for Autumn.  Below is a video of Autumn playing with her foster brother.

Autumn has been in her new foster home for two weeks now and she is beginning to settle in.  She met a few children over the weekend and did great with them!  Autumn definitely liked having faces at head level to lick!

Autumn is a super sweet girl who just wants to play with another dog and give kisses to all her human pals.  She loves to chase and wrestle with her foster brother, although he tires out long before she does.  Autumn does play rough, so needs a young dog that can keep up with her.

Autumn is looking for a home with a fenced yard and where she doesn't have to be crated all day to help with her energy level.  She is a great running partner and goes right along with you.

Despite her nonstop play during the day, Autumn goes right to her spot when it is time for bed and she doesn't move throughout the night!  Autumn is a very loving girl who would make a great addition to a family that can handle everything that comes with a boxer puppy.

5/10/15

Autumn has arrived at her new foster home, where she is now living with a young male boxer.  She is full of energy and is happy to have a companion!  We will post an update once her foster dad learns more about Autumn.

5/04/15

Autumn is being returned to rescue to find a home with another dog and without cats.  She is a high energy girl who would really benefit from an active male dog to keep her busy.  Autumn is crate trained and is a really sweet girl.  She does well with children of all ages and has been in a home with a 2 year old child.  Autumn would love to have a fenced yard to run and play in.  If you can provide a great match for Autumn, apply today!

11/2014 - Adopted

11/3/14

Autumn has arrived at her new foster home and is settling in well. She is a very playful girl and wants to chase and wrestle nonstop with her new foster brother, a male boxer.  Autumn does need some training, but her foster family will be working with her.  She goes into the crate with no problems.  Once her foster home gets to know Autumn better, we will update her page with more information.  Included are a few new pictures from her first day in foster!

10/28/14 -

Autumn was found as a stray and is estimated to be around a year of age.  She has been placed in a temporary foster home until her transport to Maryland.  Autumn is reported to be good with other dogs and has also done well with the cat.  She loves to play with a ball.  Autumn is an active girl who would enjoy having a fenced yard to run and play in.  She will be spayed soon and is looking for a foster or forever home.  Apply today for Autumn!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
