Boston is doing well in her foster home.  She is housebroken, crate trained, and knows her basic commands with hand signals.  Boston loves to play!  She does play very rough with the male boxer in her foster home, but he is young and can handle her style of play.  She likes to sleep in bed with her foster mom and can be a bed hog!  Boston is looking for a home with a young male dog that can help lead her and keep up with her energy level.  Boston does have some sight and can hear very loud or high pitched noises.  If you are interested in providing a forever home for Boston, apply today!

Boston is a special girl who is looking for a forever home.  She loves to play and gets along well with dogs her size.  Boston loves all dogs that she meets, but does play rough.  She is housebroken and goes in a crate without any problems.  She runs in the yard just like any other boxer and Boston does not let her handicaps get in her way of being a normal dog.  She does see things that are close to her, but Boston can not hear.  She is a bed hog at night.  She would love to find a home with another dog that is also energetic and can tolerate her playfulness. Boston is a loving, active girl.  If you are a good match for Boston, apply today!

Boston has been returned to AABR to find a better match to meet her needs.  She just arrived at her foster home this evening.  Boston is both hearing and vision impaired, and is now just over a year of age.  We will post more information once she gets settled in.  Thank you for your interest in Boston!

11/2013 - Adopted!

10/20/13 -

Boston was recently surrendered to AABR from a PA puppy mill.  She has limited vision and also possible issues with hearing, so was not able to be sold.  Boston's two siblings (Izzy and Lucy) also have vision concerns.  Boston would do best in a home with another dog.  She also needs a home that is able to provide the time, training, and socialization that a puppy requires.  We will post more information once she is seen by a specialist.

2013:

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
