Morgan has been blooming into a great dog since being in foster care! She has quickly picked up on the general household routine and made herself part of the 'pack'. Morgan has become less timid about receiving attention and has done really well when friends and strangers come into the house. She now approaches her foster family and is seeking attention.

We feel Morgan would do best with the companionship of another dog. She has become a shadow to one of the resident dogs, which has helped her gain confidence. We love watching Morgan play! She can be quite the character and loves to play with the resident dogs. She is a great tug-of-war partner, ball chaser, and can often be spotted doing boxer bullets around the back yard. Morgan would love a forever home with a fenced yard, someone to play with, and another dog to keep her company while her people are away. With continued TLC, Morgan will make such a great companion and friend to always come home to.

7/1/13

Morgan has settled into her foster home where she is learning the art of being a loved member of the family. Although she comes from a background of having very limited human contact, she very much desires to be around people. She is shy, but blossoming more and more every day.

Morgan is a sweet and gentle dog, and tries to please. She has not had many manners taught to her, so she is learning what a good dog does and is exuberantly trying! She listens well and is learning some basic commands. Morgan loves to play with the resident dogs and can often be spotted running around the yard with a toy. She is your typical boxer -fun, fun, fun!

Morgan is energetic and could make a great walking/hiking partner. She is a funny, happy girl who loves her new life! Morgan is housebroken and crate trained. If you would like to make Morgan a part of your family, please apply to adopt today!

6/12/13 -

Meet Morgan. Morgan was surrendered by her breeder after the breeding operation closed down.  She is great with other dogs (she lived with 22 of them outside on the farm) and is good with kids of all ages. Morgan is laid back and easy-going. She would do best with a fenced yard and another dog to keep her company. Morgan is looking for the perfect family to show her what living in a home is all about and to show her what it means to be a loved member of the family.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
