Bambino is looking for his forever home, and right now is in need of a new foster home.  A foster home stepped up when he needed it most and offered Bambino a short stay knowing that they had a long vacation coming up.  It is also probably not the best situation as the grandkids are regular visitors in this foster home and Bambino would be best in a home without kids.

Bambino is a strong handsome guy.  He needs a good leader to continue his training, to set up and consistently apply rules for him to live by.  Bambino can be a bit pushy, and we are sure he didn’t have many rules is his past life.  We think his recent neutering will help with this.

We would like to keep Bambino out of a kennel if at all possible, as he will learn nothing new from that experience.  We have been told that he had played with a female dog in his last neighborhood, but have not tried him with any dog since we got him.  If you have the right stuff and want to rescue a dog, Bambino could use a hero.

Bambino is now in his foster home and doing well. He is a friendly guy and just needs some time to adjust and learn that there are rules, boundaries and limitations. His foster dad said that he got pretty excited when he initiated play with Bambino and he said that he can be pretty funny.      : )

Bambino is a friendly and very handsome guy. He is being surrendered because of a sickness in the family. He has spent the last 10 months with his grand parents, but before that lived with his first family and grew up with a now 6 year old kid. Early on he lived with another dog, and he has spent play dates with a neighbors female dog.

Bambino needs a lot of exercise and some training. He has spent long hours over the past few months, by himself, alone in his home. He is reported good when left alone, and allowed free roam of his home. He was very excited when we met him, with jumping up and pulling on the leash. He is a strong guy, so we will work on basic leash walking and some calming exercises. He had a good vet exam where he was brought up to date on vaccinations and he will be neutered soon.

Bambino is a great boxer looking for a hero... Will you be his hero?

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
