Looking for a home with
older kids - 12 or older

4/27/13

Holley has made some nice progress in her foster home. She has become a more friendly and confident dog with both the resident boxers and the older children in the house. She is a petite boxer girl with a lot of energy who would love an active home that can keep her busy. She knows several commands including come, sit, leave it, stay, and drop it. Holley is fully house and crate trained. When you come home, Holley greets you with the most adorable boxer kidney bean wiggle and kisses. Included are some new pictures. Please apply for this sweet girl today.

Holley is now in foster with two other boxers.  Her foster family exercised her and wore her out before introducing her to the resident boxers.  Although only a pup, Molley has a dominant personality and will probably do best with a submissive male.  And, as with all dogs, all humans in the home must be good leaders.

03/25/13 - Holley

Holley is a cute 10 month old little girl. The home Holley is in is very busy and there has been no time to train Holly, other than with a few commands, and to house train her. She is living in a home with 4 children ages 13 down to two years old. She tries to control the situation and children by biting them. She will not be placed in a home with children.

Her owners say she is good with the adults in her family and the grandparents took her for a week and said she was wonderful with them. Holley was very nervous when we met her and she will need a home with good leadership that can give this pup some time to chill out and calm down. Slow and steady will win this race. She will be a great addition to her new family but we will ask them to commit to a trainer to help Holley become that wonderful good canine citizen we all expect of her. Holley was not good with meeting a dog we tried with her, but we think that can also be resolved with the help of good leadership and a little training.

Please give this little cutie a chance. Consider Holley for your family.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
