Eva is doing very well in foster and seems to be happy.  She can be a dominant girl with other dogs and is currently separated from the male boxer in her foster home with a baby gate.  Eva loves going for rides in the car.  She also enjoys laying next to the woodstove when it is cold.  Eva is beginning to show early signs of leg weakness, which we will continue to monitor.  Her foster mom indicates that Eva is a really sweet girl!

9/25/13 -  Eva is in a new foster home

9/15/13

Eva's current foster mom has gotten a new job, leaving Eva home for much longer hours. Eva is in urgent need of a new foster home so she doesn't have to go back to the kennel. She would do best in a home where somebody is there often with her. She has been fostered with a Boston Terrier and done really well with her. If you can provide a foster home for Eva, apply today for this beautiful girl!

7/18/13

Eva is doing great in her new foster home.  She is a sweet, goofy girl.  Eva is eating well and starting to put on weight.  She would love a home where somebody is there often, as she adores people.  Eva does great with children and adults.  She does know how to use the bells to go out.  Eva really enjoys being outside and adores walks.  She knows sit and stay. Included are a few new pictures of Eva out of the kennel and back in a home!

5/8/13

Included are three new pictures from a recent visit by our volunteer and photographer (RussellBrammer.com). Eva needs to gain some weight and we are in urgent need of a foster home so we can get this beautiful girl out of the kennel. Apply today for Eva - a kennel is not a good environment for a senior boxer.

4/21/13

This beautiful girl is still waiting at the kennel for a foster or forever home.  She would do best in a home with a high fence or a home where she is leash walked.  Eva has been playing really well with Cassius at the kennel, so should be able to go into a home with an easygoing male.  She has also done well with some of the smaller dogs at the kennel in the play yard.  Please offer to foster Eva so we can get this senior girl out of the boarding facility and into a home!

4/6/13

Eva has arrived in rescue and is in urgent need of a foster home so she doesn't have to stay in a boarding kennel. Eva would do best in a home without other dogs, but she loves people. She is as sweet as can be and just soaks up any attention she is given. Eva is completely housebroken and is a confident girl. Please apply today to help Eva get back into a home!

3/28/13 -

Eva was found as a stray on a farm with toenails that had been painted pink.  No owner has come forward to claim this beautiful girl.  Eva did great on her dog test at the shelter.  She is a really sweet and energetic girl.  Eva will be transported soon into rescue.  We will update her page as soon as she settles in at her new foster home.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
