Beauty is doing great in her foster home. She is living with both male & female Boxers, as well as a Pomeranian. She has just about got the house training down as well as sit, paw & stay. She is also improving everyday with her leash walking, as that was quite a challenge when we first tried it. Beauty didn't even know what a leash was.  She is great in her crate, but when I get home - she knows it's time to come out and she is ready.

I am very happy with the progress she has made in the little bit of time she has been here. While she is still learning some manners, Beauty has been an absolute doll. She loves everybody she meets and everybody loves her. She was able to meet a friend's toddler and while she was so excited, she was able to contain herself from stealing his ball, LOL. She loves every single toy in the tote and will chase the laser light until you have had enough. She doesn't seem to be a barker, but is a little shy when you first meet her. I can see where she is definitely the under dog and would probably get along with any other animal. I would love for her to have a fenced in yard and lots of toys to call her own :)

7/21/12 -

Beauty has already been in several homes and is only 8 months of age. She was bought from an online breeder at 8 weeks old. Only a few days later, her owner suffered some personal problems and dropped Beauty off with her mother. The mother has cared for Beauty the past several months, but has asked rescue for help in finding a home with more time and attention for her.

Beauty has lived with children and cats. She is great with kids, but will likely knock down a small child due to her energy level. Beauty also does really well with other dogs. She needs work with her basic commands and obedience. Beauty has never been leash walked before and she needs to get comfortable with that. She is crate trained and seems to like her crate.

Beauty recently went into foster with four other dogs (three boxers and a Pomeranian). She will be spayed next week and brought up to date on all vet care. Beauty loves the other dogs and is really enjoying running in her fenced yard. She also loves to run and chase the other dogs in the house. With some training, Beauty is going to be a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Apply today for Beauty!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
