Lilly has been in foster for a few weeks and is settling in really well.  She is a wonderful girl.  Lilly loves her foster brother, a young male boxer.  She also got to meet her foster mom's 3 year old niece and did great with her.  Lilly is housebroken and crate trained.  She is a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle.  Lilly knows her basic commands and is very easy to walk on leash.  Apply today for this sweet girl!

Lilly is currently at our boarding kennel and in need of a foster home.  She is very friendly and wants to crawl into your lap for affection.  The volunteer who walks the dogs at the kennel indicated that Lilly is a really nice little girl.  She is very gentle and walks great on leash.  Lilly is currently being treated for a Lyme exposure for a month, and then will be spayed.  Apply today to foster or adopt Lilly!

6/7/12

Lilly was evaluated today to get more information about her.  The volunteer that met her indicated she was a wonderful girl!  She came right up to her with lots of kisses.  Lilly saw the cats that were outside and was interested, but she seems to be getting used to them.  Lilly walks great on leash.  She is getting along well with the Elkhound at her current home and Lilly is very playful.  She loves the 7 year old and teenager at her temporary home.  Lilly is a beautiful girl whose tail is always wagging.  She should be transported to rescue soon and is still in need of a foster home to go to following her spay surgery.

6/3/12 -

Lilly was found abandoned along with seven puppies.  Sadly, five of the puppies had passed away before they were found.  The other two have already been placed into new homes.  The family who has been keeping Lilly the past two weeks has contacted rescue for help in finding her a wonderful, forever home.

Lilly is reported to be very sweet.  Her foster mom indicates that she would love to have a yard to run in.  Lilly is great on leash.  She has been doing well with both children at her temporary home, ages 7 and 15 years.  Lilly has met some cats and she does try to chase them.  She has been great with the other dogs she has been introduced to.  Lilly is currently being kept in an outdoor kennel, but will be transported to rescue this weekend.  She will then be spayed and brought up to date on all vet care.  Lilly is in need a foster home to go to after her vet appointment.  Please apply today for Lilly!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
