Oliver is the best dog! He got along immediately with all four of my dogs. He is just happy to hang out with whichever dog will let him. He loves my kids and could not be a sweeter boy! Oliver is housebroken and loves to go for rides in the car. He is now neutered and all ready to go into his new forever home. Oliver is a dream dog that can go into a city home or suburban home. He walks well on his harness and is a pleasure to have around.

Oliver was a big hit at the adoption event this past weekend. He spent a lot of time playing and hanging out with 2 other young boxer boys. He met met several young children and was excellent with them. Because his foster home is working long hours, he has spent the day at a neighbor's house with a boxer alumni boy named Oscar, and they get along great! Oliver also gets along well with the foster's resident boxers. He and the cat are coming to an understanding, and I would recommend only cats that are dog-savvy (as Oliver loves to chase and play with them, and not all cats will appreciate or understand that!).

Oliver is housebroken and crate trained. He has actually started to go into his crate on his own to lay down. Oliver obviously still needs the exercise and training any young boxer needs, but he is a smart boy who loves his humans and wants to please. He walks well on leash and is just so handsome!

8/16/11 -

Oliver came to the city shelter as a stray.  He must have been out there for awhile, because he is very skinny, dirty, and has long nails.  These are all things that are an easy fix once you land into this rescue! 

Oliver is so adorable and you will quickly fall in love with his cute personality.  He is very friendly, wiggly, goofy, happy, and playful will all humans and four legged friends he meets.  He has the best boxer kidney bean dance - guaranteed to make you smile every day.  You don't get any better than this pup.  All he needs are some groceries and a little love!  Apply today for Oliver!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
