Mabel went to a local event over the weekend and she was a hit! She soaked up all the attention that people stopping by gave her and she did great with kids of all ages. Mabel truly loves people and is a very sociable girl! Apply today to make Mabel a member of your family!

We just can't understand why Mabel hasn't been scooped up yet! She is a wonderful and loving girl! She greets everyone with a wag and a smile, and has done really well with all of the visitors and new people she has met. Mabel responds to correction quickly and follows commands. She is a smart girl! She loves being outdoors and would make a great walking or hiking partner. Mabel would benefit from an adopter that can provide leadership as she is new to living in a home. She is eager to please and wants to be part of the family. Please give this mama a chance to become part of your family!

Wow! Mabel is such a very sweet, outgoing dog who loves to meet new people, seems to love all people, and is happy as can be. Being a 'breeding dog' at a puppymill, Mabel was not given any direction or outlets for her energy; so she needs someone who is a leader and who will give her some rules and boundaries. She will make a amazing dog with just the slightest amount of training. Her biggest flaw is that when she gets excited, she tends to jump up to be close to you. Because of the efforts of her temporary foster mom, this bad habit has greatly improved but there is still work to be done. Her progress has been amazing! She needs someone with time to commit to training and exercising and with that, she will be a fabulous dog. Please, if you are looking for a best friend - apply today to adopt Mabel!

What a difference patience and time makes for a dog! Mabel has great play times with Molly Magnum, JD and Priscilla. She gets along with all of her foster sisters and foster brothers in her temporary home. Mabel would do best in a home with a playful, submissive male and a fenced in yard as she LOVES to run like the wind and do Boxer bullets around the fenced field! Mabel is a loving little girl that loves to give paw and will melt you with her big brown eyes. If you want a couch potato at one time, then a playful fun girl- Mabel is your best choice! She soaks up every second of love and gives way more back to you! IF you are a committed home, please apply to adopt this lovebug today!

Mabel is still in need of a foster or forever home. She is such a love bug - this girl loves to snuggle!!  She would do best with an easygoing male dog. If you can provide a home for Mabel, apply today!

12/05/10 -

Meet Mabel! This sweet girl was rescued from a puppy mill where life wasn't so good.  She is approximately 4 years old and very curious about life outside of the mill. She is a little scared of new things and somewhat unsure of herself, but in just the day or two she has been in rescue, she has started to come out of her shell. Mabel seeks human attention and seems to respond well to correction. Mabel would benefit from a experienced home that can spend the time training her and teaching her proper manners. She is a smart girl, so will pick up things quickly!

Whether you are looking for a hiking partner or a friend to sit on the couch and watch TV with, Mabel is the dog for you! Please consider opening your home to this girl today!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
