After spending two months in a kennel, Tucker has finally found a foster home! He is in foster with two female dogs and introductions went really well. Tucker is so happy to be back in a home environment. He is giving lots of hugs to his new foster parents and insists on being a lap dog. His foster mom will update his page as soon as she gets to know him better.

I can't say enough good things about this boy. I instantly fell in love with him when I visited Tucker at the kennel. As soon as I met him, he greeted with me tons of kisses and hugs. He would not stop hugging me and just wanted to be close. I only got to spend a short amount of time with him, but it was hard to not fall in love with his personality.

Tucker walks excellent on the leash with a harness and never once pulled me! He is very fun loving and energetic. Tucker would do great with an active person or family. He does not do well with an invisible fence and needs a tall, secure fence at his new home. Tucker is full of wiggles, love, and smiles. He would flourish outside of the kennel life! If you are looking for a new best friend and someone who wants to snuggle with you, Tucker is your boy!

Tucker's brother, Diggy, has found his new home - but Tucker is still waiting at the kennel for a home of his own. Tucker is wonderful with people and loves children of all ages. He will give lots of kisses. Tucker does need some work on leash walking and some increased socialization with other dogs. He loves to run and would do best with a tall, fenced yard. This loving boy is patiently waiting for a foster or forever home. Please apply today for Tucker!

Tucker and Diggy have been in a temporary home, but they are arriving at our boarding kennel tomorrow.  Tucker is in urgent need of a foster home.  These boys should be separated into different homes.  Tucker is the leader of the pair and more confident.  He is wonderful with people.  Tucker has been living with two young children, 2 and 4 yrs old, and he is great with them!  He is really enjoys attention and has done well with all new visitors.  Tucker loves to cuddle and would do best with a secure, fenced yard.  He can not go to a home with cats.  If you can provide a foster or forever home for Tucker, please submit your application today!

Diggy and Tucker were originally posted this past October when their owner thought she would have to sell her home and move due to a divorce. In December, she realized she could keep her home and decided to try to keep both boys. After several months, she has contacted rescue because she does not have the time as a single parent to care for both of them. She has been working longer hours and would like to find a family for Diggy and Tucker that can give them the love and attention that they deserve.

Diggy and Tucker are lost without each other, so we are looking for a home that can adopt them together. They will need a fenced yard to run and play in at their new home. Both boys live with a young child and are great with people. If you can provide a forever home for Diggy and Tucker, apply today!

10/18/10 -

What could be better than adopting one boxer than adopting two boxers who are already bonded and get along great with each other! Tucker and Diggy are sadly being surrendered to rescue because their owner is getting divorced and being forced to sell her home. She has contacted rescue for help in finding these boys a safe home. We would love to find a forever home where they can remain together because they are very bonded with each other. Their owner reports that they do everything together.

Tucker was purchased from a breeder and Diggy is his biological brother. Tucker loves to give kisses and hugs. He knows all of his basic commands and is left with free run during the work day. Tucker loves to run and needs a fenced yard at his new home. He also really enjoys water. Tucker is already neutered and is up to date on vet care. He is currently living with a 5 yr old child and he plays well with other dogs in the neighborhood, small and large. Please apply today and offer to give these boys a forever home where they can remain together!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
