Harley has settled in well at his new foster home.  He is an energetic boy when playing in the yard and with other dogs.  Harley plays well with both male and female dogs.  He is super affectionate and loves to cuddle and snuggle.  Harley will follow you everywhere just to be with you.

7/28/13

Harley arrived today at his new foster home and included are a few new pictures from his transport.  We will update his page once he gets settled in.

7/18/13

Harley was adopted three years ago, but is now being returned to rescue because they have had a lifestlye change with a new baby in the house. Harley is now 9 years old and is in urgent need of a foster home so he will not have to spend his senior years sitting at a boarding kennel. This handsome boy is great with people and other dogs. He is recommended for a home without cats. Harley is still very energetic and would love a secure place to run.  We will be posting new pictures soon. Please let us know if you can provide a foster or forever home for Harley.

8/2010 - Adopted!

7/26/10

It has been four months since Harley's last update, and he continues to do wonderful in his foster home.  We can't understand why this boy isn't already in his forever home! Harley is great with children and adults. He loves to play with the other boxer in his foster home and enjoys running in his fenced yard.  Harley sleeps in his own dog bed at night and loves to be around his family during the day. He has settled in really well at his foster home, but deserves a forever home.  Apply today to adopt Harley!

3/9/10

Harley continues to do well at his foster home, but he is definitely ready for a home of his own! He just loves to be loved and is great with people. Harley follows his foster mom around the house. He really enjoys when visitors come to the home, as everyone is a new friend! Harley has no problems in the crate when he needs to be left alone. He walks great on leash and stays right by your side. Due to his energy level, he would do best with a tall, fenced yard to run in. Harley has previously lived with children of all ages. His foster mom feels he would do best in a home without cats. Harley is going to be a wonderful boy for an active family - apply today and give Harley a chance at his forever home.

1/7/10

Harley has been in his foster home for a month and a half now, and he is doing great!! He is definitely an energetic boy and Harley needs a tall fence at his new home. He gets very excited when new people come into the home - jumping around and wiggling his whole body with excitement. Harley knows all of his basic commands and he is housetrained and crate trained. He is currently in foster with a female boxer. Apply today for Harley - he is going to be a wonderful boy for an active family.

11/21/09 -

2010:

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
