Delilah was placed into a home in the city, but she was not doing well with the stress and noise of city life. She is looking for a quieter home, with a fenced yard and hopefully another dog to play with. She will need a home that has the time to work with Delilah on leash manners and basic commands. She is a sweet girl and is wonderful with children. Apply today for Delilah!

Delilah is the sweetest boxer girl going. She is in a foster home now with several other dogs and doing really well.  She just loves to run around, jump, and play with my male boxer. It is fun to watch the two tire themselves out.  Delilah is well behaved in the home.  I can leave her in my kitchen with one of my male dogs and she is fine. Delilah is totally housebroken and loves to go on car rides. She walks beside you on her easy walk harness.  Delilah spent the last two days at our PetSmart adoption event.  She was wonderful with dogs of all sizes and shapes. On Sunday, she hung out with Sonny, another AABR dog that needs a home.  Delilah is great with kids of all ages, from 2 years old and up. She is a gentle little girl with the kids and is currently living with children 12 and older in her foster home.  She spent the late afternoon at a football game on the sidelines, playing with kids and adults who loved her cute face. After being in her foster home for just a few days, Delilah has improved greatly with her social skills. Her last home spent no time with her and its amazing what a little time does for a dog as smart as Delilah. Delilah was just spayed and brought up to date on all vet care.  She would benefit from an obedience class and would graduate top in her class.  Apply today for Delilah!

Meet Delilah!  She was surrendered to a New York shelter because the owners did not have time for her.  She is 18 months old, housetrained, and crate trained.  Delilah loves people and other dogs.  She needs a home that has time to work with her and provide some training with her basic commands.  Delilah is walking well with a harness and has been great with all the people she has met.  She is reported to be wonderful with children, but she may knock over the younger ones in play.  Delilah has met some cats, but she wanted to chase them - so she may be better in a home without cats at this time.  This young girl is waiting for a committed, forever home - apply today for Delilah!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
