At no fault of her own, Stella lost her loving foster home due to a change in living arrangements. Stella is currently in a temporary foster home with other boxers and a cat. She loves to play with her toys or simply hang out! She is crate trained and of course potty trained. Stella is very obedient, tell Stella what to do and she does it! She is also very athletic. Stella loves, loves, loves to run, has a great stride and is the perfect partner for that runner! Stella's forever home should be someone that will stimulate her physically every day, teach her social skills every day and even professionally train her, she loves the challenge. This athletic girl would be perfect for agility training. The perfect home right now would be a home that doesn’t have company that enters without notice. Stella needs her leader to do the proper introduction to the new people in her life. Is that you? Are you a leader? Are you a runner or do you do agility? Are you ready to rescue a girl in need and teach her the way of the world? If YES, please apply to adopt Stella. Thank you!

Stella has been in our foster home since June and she is doing wonderful! We have nicknamed her "stella-saurus" because she snores like a dinosaur. I run her 6 miles a day -3 miles in the morning and 3 miles in the afternoon - and she LOVES it! If you are a runner - this is the girl for you! Stella know her commands and is so good at them, but we are still working with her on her "new person" intimidation. We think she was never taught how to greet so it is a new skill she is learning. Other than that quirk, she behaves well, she listens to sit, down, shake, leave it, and walks like a princess on a leash, even when we're out running! Her guilty pleasure is sleeping with me, but after working so hard with me all day, I think she's earned it. We think we caught some good pics of her and her daily routine. She was snoozing on my bed, riding in the car (which she does excellently!), playing in my parents' yard, and sitting for a cookie in the kitchen. She is ready for her own life time home. Stella seems to do well with cats. Please apply today for Stella - she has been waiting over a year for her chance at a forever home!

We can not believe that Miss Stella is still waiting for her forever home. Stella is a GREAT dog. She is a typical young female boxer with a high spirit and loads of fun filled energy. Stella likes dogs, cats and people. She is the ideal dog for an active person who runs or does agility training. This girl is athletic and smart just what your looking for in a boxer. Apply today and give this girl her chance at the athletic life.

Stella was a stray it was obvious to the dog warden that she had just littered pups but they were unable to locate her litter. She went to the shelter and sadly enough no one ever claimed Miss Stella. Stella is a 2 year old spayed girl and is ready for her new home. She is scared in the kennel so she is not sure how to greet people. Stella is looking for a calm and gentle owner to take introductions slow, work on her socialization and training. A K9 leader with plenty of boxer experience that has a soft hand, warm heart and patience. A home committed to exercise, training and love. Since Stella was a stray we will not place her with children. She needs a home with a secure fence or a city dog that is leashed at all times. Stella is a nice dog who is scared and needs to learn how to trust. Please offer to foster or adopt Stella so that she can get out of the kennel as soon as possible.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
