Chi-Chi is an extremely sweet, sweet dog!  She is very loving and craves attention by another dog or human.  She is already housebroken, knows a few commands and is leash trained.  She also doesn't mind the crate either.  So how could someone leave this loveable dog behind?

Chi-Chi listens to you for guidance; if she is unsure of going somewhere she will stay put until you say "it's ok".  She seems to enjoy chewing on bones and gets along with our Junior just fine - their game is chasing each other around the house in circles!  Chi-Chi is also definitely a HUGE snuggler and has been curling up in a little ball right next to either myself, my husband or Junior.  I think she is just happy to be somewhere warm and in a loving home where she will be taken care of.  And in return, to show you how thankful she is - she does the boxer wiggle where she actually bumps into things - its so cute!  There is no doubt in my mind that she will go quickly!!!!

We are feeding her smaller meals but 3 times a day and she appears to enjoy a little people food mixed in with it.  We need to put some meet on those bones.  She really is the sweetest dog!

4/8/06 - Chi Chi

When I picked up Chi Chi the people there said that she was a very sweet dog.  Junior ( the foster home’s dog) was just so affectionate and just wanted nothing but to give Chi Chi kisses.  The introduction went very well, Junior again just went in for the kisses and Chi Chi seemed to like him wiggling and wagging her short tail.  Inside the house was the same, Chi Chi just seemed to have a bit of a nervous bark when Junior would put his paw on her (He's a big boy and she needs to gain a lot of weight) but nothing serious at all.  Shana (foster mom) had a pretty new pink collar for her and a crate.

What I've learned about Chi Chi is she was found as a stray in Brooklyn, she has been in the NYC animal hospital for the required 2 week hold waiting for someone to claim her. She has a micro chip that was never registered, but because of the chip she had to be held for 2 weeks.  She is up to date on all of her shots and has been spayed.  She is approx 4 years old, they say 52 lbs, but she needs to put on a good amount of weight.  She is fawn with cropped ears and a docked tail.  She is sweet, was happy to go for the car ride, sat next to me up front, napped most of the way, when we were getting off the exit, she popped up and was checking out something new....the suburbs, she seemed like she new she was going to a much better place that she had never experienced before....lots of grass and trees!

We will update when we get to know her better.
