01/05/06 - Tuffy is in foster

Here's Tuffy. He's a 2 year old male bichon who was given up by a
family who didn't have time for him. Tuffy weighs about 15 lbs, and is a
real sweet baby. He can't understand where he is or what's going on. I
groomed him this morning for the first time. The first picture is before,
and the rest after. He was infested with fleas, and has many irritated
areas all over his little body where he's chewed himself raw. The people
had taken an electric shaver (people kind) and shaved his back right down
to the skin. He was pretty good for grooming except for his legs and
face. Jim had to hold him and sweet talk him through it.
I know he doesn't look like much right now, but he's been through a lot
for a little guy. He's going to need time and patience, and then he'll not
be afraid and will blossom. He's scheduled for a trip to the vet on
Monday.
