Buck, now
know as Dempsey, is such a sweet dog. After being in a shelter for about
half of his life he is doing well in a house setting. The first few days he
was a bit jumpy if we walked up behind him and touched his back because
he can't hear us getting close to him Now he just turns his head to see who
it is. He has become good friends with our 2 year old boxer, Murphy and the
two of them play non-stop. Dempsey is picking up signs very quickly, he
knows sit, good boy, no, car, and come after only a week. We use the signs
with our hearing dog as well who also responds to them. Dempsey is a very
gentle dog and a big cuddle bug, especially in bed.

Buck
Buck is a very sweet deaf white male
boxer. He is good with other dogs and good with everyone he meets. He will
need a fenced yard or a home where he would always be on a leash like in
the city. He would also be best with another dog as deaf dogs use the
other dogs ears. Having fostered deaf dogs before I know them to be super
dogs. They bark less and sleep like a champ. Buck will need the time
and energy of a young home on the go. He is very active and loves to run
and play. Buck is microchipped, up to date on shots and in great health.
Buck deserves the best boxer home ever.
