MEMORIAL - Knuckles
Date: Dec 6, 2005

We are very sad to report the passing of a boxer that touched our hearts.

It is with great sadness that I want to let everyone know of the passing of a very special boy, Knuckles.  He went to live with Dave, Sandy and Sweetpea in Alabama 3 years ago.  He was so loved by us all, as well as amused by his antics.  He loved tossing the couch cushions on the floor and snoozing upside down on the couch.  He loved to surf the counter for goodies, as well as open the trash compactor to search for treats.  Jim and I visited him 2 years ago, and Knuckles remembered us, and that night crawled in between us to snuggle down and sleep for the night.  He was certainly a joy to have in our lives, and made life complete for Dave and Sandy.

All of these rescues are special, but every once in awhile an extra special one comes along and makes his home in our hearts forever.  That was Knuckles. We're so glad we were able to love you.

Gail and Jim

In our hearts forever.

Knuckles

Adopted 09/30/02

7/05/02 -Knuckles has been in the kennel for months.  Consider fostering him or adopting him?

5/23/02 - Knuckles is doing great in the kennel. We need to find him a foster or home without other dogs. He wants all the attention. A home with kids over 12 is best for him. He doesn't understand all the commotion. He loves to be pet and has good manners when he is waiting to be fed. Open your home to this big boxer boy that need some work and he will give lots of love back. He needs a person that has time for training and he will be great company for someone.

3/19/02 - Knuckles is doing great. He is playing with dogs of all ages and sex. He is in dire need of foster and is sweet as can be. He loves attention and thrives on it. He hates having to sleep in a kennel but is loving playing with the other male boxer, a female would be best but a friendly one. The owner's female does not like knuckles in her house. She plays with him outside but that's it. He is a real friendly guy. A big love. He can seem to be aggressive in the kennel or crate because he hates it. Once outside he is a good guy.

3/08/02 - Knuckles  is a male boxer that is neutered and ready to go to the right home. He needs a home that thrives on obedience and has boxer experience. He is 2 years old and can be bossy.  He needs to go to a home with boxer experience that can handle a 78lb. male. He is male-dog aggressive and would be best in a home where there is a fenced yard and no other dogs. We will see how he does with a female later this week. He is very friendly and sweet but a handful. He needs a boxer home. One where he knows he is not the boss.
